But there is a profound double standard in this country. The likes of John McCain and George W. Bush can do the craziest, most irresponsible things imaginable, and it only seems to help them politically.

150 days until bush leaves office
it's like seeing a light at the end of a tunnel that has felt never-ending.
let's just hope it's not extinguished.
in sort of related news, i discovered today that my senior year (high school) english teacher, mr. lake, is still freakin cool. he's in a band. and they recorded a song and posted it on youtube. he's the one singing.
i give you ... "new born south"

they're going to get us all killed
one way or another, the bush administration is going to kill all the little people.
"Mr. Burnett’s letter said the council 'requested that I work with C.D.C. to remove from the testimony any discussion of the human health consequences of climate change.'"
cheney's office had people from the epa remove from the official testimony on climate change any mention of the negative effects that it will have on human health.
i don't understand why they would do that or why in the world you would want to prevent fixing the problem. i mean, unless the bush administration members are not human. which, i'm not saying is impossible considering ...
